Media NAS / Servers - How to : Enable Backdrop (Fanart) Storage

This document describes how to enable storage of backdrops (aka fanart) within the Drop-n-Rip archiving tool.

This feature is a requirement for select 2-way metadata drivers, which can use the backdrop / cover art as a part of the 2-way metadata.


  • Start by opening the DASHBOARD.

  • Click on the Drop-n-Rip Archiving tab

  • Click on META-DATA on the left [#1].
  • Under BACKDROPS > STORAGE QUALITY : Choose "1080P (1920x1080)" [#2]
  • Click on UPDATE [#3], so that existing movies will have backdrops now added in / downloaded.

  • The prompt below will appear - click YES to confirm.
    This step may take several seconds to several minutes, depending on the size of your collection. (Updating a large collection can take close to an hour, or more)

  • The prompt below will appear confirming a success refresh.
    Proceed onto the next step of your installation.
